TOM WALMSLEY works full time as an outdoor and environmental educator, along with his specialist contacts, in a variety of settings. More recently he has run programs from an outdoor Eco Lab in his private woods.

He aims to bring people into direct contact with our natural world and with a more sustainable society to feel more empowered.  He aims to inform people through interactive workshops and presentations from Tom’s career as a wildlife cameraman around the world.  In the COVID era these include creating ecosystems, live sessions with field scientists, sustainability action planning, campfire meditations, ‘BioBlitz’ wildlife surveys and climate change classes in the elements themselves.  Through these diverse experiences we aim to enhance other aspects of the school curriculum and business environments, outdoors where ever possible.

CURRENTLY, SCHOOL PROJECTS ARE RESTRICTED BUT THERE IS GREAT DEMAND for three rapidly growing projects under the Environmental Education Project umbrella: –

workshops delivered deep in our woods in all weather

3) NATURAL SPARKS…
consultations to increase wildlife biodiversity on your patch

LOOKING FORWARD: Young people need to be empowered to make crucial decisions during some difficult changes in our global environment over the next few decades. There is a responsibility for educators, like ourselves, to support them through ongoing and engaging environmental education. For that reason, let’s support comprehensive changes in schools to put resources into a wide variety of effective workshops for all ages. The aim is to inspire young people to understand their local and global environments and their career opportunities in the ‘green’ sector in a way that helps them better shape their world.

THE TEAM: This work draws on Tom’s  experience (30 years) working on environmental and media campaigns around the world and teaching about global issues.  Relevant and inspiring specialists with similar amounts of experience are regularly brought in to deliver workshops.
